Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Engineer at Accion Labs, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and solutions that drive our business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect data pipelines, and ensure efficient data processing and manipulation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the IT field, particularly in data engineering, with strong proficiency in Python, web application development, SQL, and Agile methodologies.

·        Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems for collecting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data.

·        Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

·        Implement data processing and manipulation tasks using Python, ensuring code quality, reliability, and scalability.

·        Develop and maintain web applications for data visualization, reporting, and user interaction.

·        Optimize and tune SQL queries and database performance for efficient data retrieval and storage.

·        Implement and adhere to Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Technical skills:

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·        8+ years of experience in the IT field.

·        5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.

·        Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and manipulation tasks.

·        Experience developing web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).

·        Proficiency in SQL, with experience optimizing queries and database performance.

·        Extensive experience working in Agile environments, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices.
