Job Title: Salesforce Devops Tech Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable Salesforce CI/CD pipelines with Gearset as the core deployment tool.
- Optimize Gearset workflows for automated testing, validation, backups, and deployments across sandboxes and production orgs.
- Collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, and admins to align on release strategies, coding standards, and DevOps best practices.
- Manage source control using Git, enforcing version control best practices and supporting source-driven development.
- Integrate automated quality checks, static code analysis, and test execution into deployment pipelines.
- Support and troubleshoot deployment issues, ensuring release reliability and rollback readiness.
- Work closely with QA and development teams to improve deployment quality and speed.
- Maintain documentation for DevOps processes, environment setups, and release notes.
- Contribute to DevOps strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply core Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system reliability, monitoring, and performance using tools like Splunk, Datadog, and Terraform.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps or release engineering, with at least 5 years focused on Salesforce DevOps.
- Strong hands-on experience with Gearset (deployment automation, version control, testing, and monitoring).
- Familiarity of Apex, Visualforce, and LWC.
- Deep understanding of Git, branching models (e.g., Git Flow), and repository management.
- Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and their integration with Gearset.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Apex tests, Provar, Selenium).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional DevOps collaboration.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, DevOps Specialist, or equivalent).
- Proficiency with SFDX CLI, Visual Studio Code, and Salesforce APIs for scripting and automation.
