About Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gen AI Engineer (SAP Area) to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in deploying LLM-powered systems into production environments. This role will drive AI initiatives end-to-end — from proof-of-concept to secure, scalable enterprise deployment — within SAP ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy robust AI and Generative AI solutions, ensuring a smooth transition from proof-of-concept to production-ready systems
Understand and work with underlying data architectures, including SAP data products, data ingestion, transformation, caching, and indexing
Implement CI/CD and MLOps best practices to automate model training, testing, and deployment pipelines
Collaborate closely with AI Product Owners, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Develop and integrate multi-agent systems and LLM-based applications to enhance business capabilities
Ensure high standards of reliability, observability, and compliance across all deployed AI systems
Design and implement secure APIs, including secrets management and access control mechanisms
Support the development and implementation of security concepts and standards
Create architecture diagrams, ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), and technical documentation, ensuring high code quality and maintainability
Profile
Strong software engineering background with a focus on scalable, production-grade systems
Hands-on experience with Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
Experience working with SAP AI Core and SAP BTP environments
Solid understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and MLflow
Practical experience implementing CI/CD and MLOps pipelines in cloud environments (Azure ML, AWS, Databricks)
Strong knowledge of ETL processes, API integrations, and model deployment workflows
Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and collaborative engineering practices
Fluent English with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have
Experience with multi-agent and Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain or CrewAI
Familiarity with project management tools and frameworks (Jira, Scrum, SAFe)

Education
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proven experience delivering AI/ML or Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments
Experience working with SAP ecosystems and data platforms
