Location : Remote , night shift (3 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, andoptimize SD-WAN solutions for customer networks, including networkreconfiguration, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Commission hardware andsupport network growth and expansion initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolvecomplex network and application-related issues, providing advanced networkdesign support.
- Identify and remediatenetwork issues by completing all required engineering tasks as part of projectdeliverables.
- Provide technicalleadership and manage network implementation projects, ensuring timely deliverywithin budget constraints.
- Create and maintainengineering documentation and standard operating procedures related to networkand client configurations, management processes, and service level design.
- Respond to and resolvecustomer support tickets related to Versa SD-WAN deployments, includingdiagnosing application performance problems and connectivity failures inaccordance with defined SLAs.
- Collaborate closely withinternal teams (NOC, Sales, Product Management) and external vendors toescalate and resolve complex technical issues, acting as a key technicalliaison.
- Ensure excellent customerservice and satisfaction through proactive communication and timely resolutionof all support issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years intelecommunications, working within or for service provider networks.
- Hands-on experience with designing, deploying, and troubleshooting SD-WAN environments (specificallyVersa ADWAN solutions preferred).
- In-depth knowledge andoperational experience with major carrier-grade equipment platforms (e.g.,Juniper, Cisco, Ciena).
- Detailed understanding ofVPN technologies (including L2VPNs such as Martini and Kompella, RFC2547, andVPLS).
- Familiarity withMEF-defined Metro Ethernet products and solutions.
- Experience with Layer 3(and above) routing technologies, including IPSec tunneling and eBGP overlays.
- Strong analytical skillsfor diagnosing and resolving routing issues, congestion, and both hardware andsoftware failures.
Technical Skills
- A solid background in thefollowing technologies and protocols:
- QinQ, G.8032, 802.3ad,802.3ag, STP, PBT, VPLS, MPLS, Traffic Engineering
- BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, IPv6,Y.1731
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree inscience, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceand/or certifications.
- Industry certificationssuch as CCIE, JNCIE, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.
