We are seeking multiple system administrators who are experts at automating system administration tasks with scripting tasks and will be planning, executing site deployments like AWS / Rackspace / Private cloud while planning and managing operations infrastructure.
Job Description
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field of study.
- Work with Lead Systems Engineers to understand performance and availability requirements.
- Work with Software Engineering team to define deployment, configuration, and monitoring requirements.
- Planning, building, configuring, optimizing, and scaling a physical and cloud-based server farm responsible for supporting.
- Expertise with different scripting tools like Shell or Python to automate system administration tasks
- Capacity to analyze and troubleshoot operating system, configuration and performance problems and networking.
- Basic understanding of Internet networking protocols: TLS, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP.
- Leading troubleshooting efforts with production/non-production systems.
- Establishing and performing release management processes.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain Linux hosts and other popular open source applications such as Apache HTTPd, Nginx, Postfix, Apache Tomcat, and MySQL server.
- Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as Splunk, Ansible, Zabbix, etc.
- Aptitude to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Participating as part of a 24x7 on call rotation.
- Familiarity with system hardening and server security best practices.
