Job Title: Workday Payroll Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll solutions.
- Design and implement payroll processes in alignment with business requirements and compliance needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze current payroll cadences and drive successful transitions to new schedules.
- Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Provide production support, resolve payroll-related issues, and ensure timely payroll runs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to integrate payroll processes with broader Workday HCM.
- Document payroll processes, change requests, and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience.
- Strong expertise in Workday Payroll module configuration and operations.
- Proven track record of managing payroll cadence changes (e.g., shifting employees from weekly to biweekly or other schedules).
- Deep understanding of payroll module, taxation, and reporting.
- Solid experience with payroll parallel testing, data validation, and cutover planning.
- Ability to engage directly with clients, gather requirements, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
